Homage to Carolyn

The poetess and writer Etel Adnan also works as a painter. The centerpiece of the compositions is often a red square, remains interested in the "immediate beauty of the color". In 2012, a series of abstract paintings in the artist's bright colors were exhibited as part of documenta 13 in Kassel, Germany curated by our Director Carolyn Christov-Bakargiev.
