Homage to the Square, Sonorous

The painting belongs to the work complex ›Homage to the Square‹, which Albers worked on for more than two decades from 1950 onwards. He was interested in the visual perception of colours and their interplay when staged in different combinations. As a teacher and with his book ›Interaction of Color‹ (1963), Albers influenced generations of artists.
