Homai Vyarawalla

Pioneer Woman - Homai Vyarawalla was India's first woman press photographer and is best known for her compelling photographs of political events leading upto Partition as well as the exhiliration of Independence. Her survival in a male dominated field is all the more significant because of the codes of this profession that continue to exclude most women even today.
