Entry room and stairway in the Manhattan, New York, townhouse of designer Angelo Donghia. The floor is black with a large white windowpane check pattern. The stairs are carpeted with a bright colored striped carpet of Mexican serapes and the balusters of the railing are alternating spirals and black and white spheres. A green vase of yellow sunflowers sits on the newel post. Two white drum-like standing tables with mirrored mosaics sit on either side of the stairs.
