I decided to make this piece because I personally feel like, throughout lockdown, how difficult it has been hasn't been talked about enough on social media. There's been lots of pressure to start a workout routine or learn a new hobby, but no one has been talking about how hard it has been on us emotionally. I hoped that by making this piece it helps people who feel similar to finally feel they aren't in it alone, because I certainly have felt like no one else out there understands how I've been feeling because no one has been talking about it.
This piece is part of Company Three's One Minute in the Middle of a Pandemic challenge and was created as part of Arts Council England's The Way I See It project which captures the impact of the Coronavirus pandemic on the lives of children and young people, articulated in their own voices, through their own creativity.
Company Three, is a theatre company based in Islington, North London and is a leading force for change for teenagers in its community and around the world.
