Medal depicts a classical portrait of Goethe. Around the medal is performed an inscription in lithuanian: "Tikėkimes, kad Gėte taip neatrodė" (Hope, that Goethe did not really look like this (en)) which is a quote from Herman Hesse's novel Steppenwolf.
