Hopkins House illuminated at dusk, Downshire Hill, Hampstead, Greater London

Architects Michael and Patty Hopkins built Hopkins House as a home for themselves in 1975-6. It also served as their office until the early 1990s. This elegant and economic lightweight steel frame and glass clad building was designed with a sparing use of materials in mind.
