Horace Harrison joined the Wagoners’ Special Reserve at the Bay Horse pub, Hutton Rudby, in February 1914. He was 5 feet 9 inches tall with grey eyes and fair hair.
Horace, who died in the 1980s, was one of the last surviving Wagoners. He leaves behind a record of his time with the Wagoners in an amateur film, also made in the 1980s, recounting the reminiscences of three friends - the two other Wagoners were Billy Thompson and Jimmy Hodgson. Two excerpts from the film feature in this exhibition.
