Hormuz Larin or Tawelat Al Ihsaa

Named after the city of Lar in Iran, the Hormuz Larin (900-1200H) or Tawelat Al Ihsaa was a type of coinage minted by Islamic rulers in Turkey, Arabia, Iran and India from the 16th century onwards. These are not coins in the traditional sense; they are twisted lengths of stamped metal.
