The horse figure is made of talcum stone carved in profile of a horse. Along with the human figures , these were meant as offerings to appease the gods. Taking a slab of steatite from the side, cuts are made from the top and bottom to express the head and the body. The omission of the four legs is a particular characteristic of these figures. Some of them feature two protuberances in the middle of the back to indicate a saddle, while others don’t.
