Couch with wooden frame that has many carved details. The couch is upholstered with black silky fabric and has white doilies on each arm and one in the centre.

Horsehair fabric was commonly used to cover Victorian furniture because it was durable and inexpensive. Anne wanted to have tea with Diana in the Parlour, but that was typical fancifulness as, “The sitting room will do” for the girls that afternoon.
