Hotel Monopol, Wroclaw

The hotel was built in 1892 in the Art Nouveau style. In the vicinity of the hotel and cafe there are, among others, the Wrocław Opera and the Chamber Stage of the Polish Theater in Wrocław.
A portico with a balcony over the entrance to the hotel was added only in 1937, especially to allow Adolf Hitler to play with it[2] (in 1958, Jan Kiepura sang on the same balcony for those gathered in front of the general hotel)[3]. The hotel part of the complex survived the war without significant aid.
Several external Polish films were also shot in the hotel's interiors, e.g. "Ashes and Diamonds" by Andrzej Wajda from 1958, "The Doll" by Has from 1968, "Consul" by Mirosław Borek with Fronczewski as the main role from 1989, as well as scenes from the series "Stake greater than life".
The hotel was established in 1984 in writing for sightseeing.
