This house-shaped vessel was excavated from outer coffin tomb No.5 in Sara-ri, northwest of the Gyeongju Basin, where dwelling sites and tombs from the period between the Bronze Age and the Three Kingdoms Period were discovered. Set atop a tall, cylindrical pedestal, the vessel is shaped like a typical grain warehouse. Items like this were typically made for burial in a tomb, to wish the deceased a comfortable and affluent afterlife.
