Childs Frick's painting held a place of pride in the Frick home-exhibited alongside the family's Harnett and Van Boskerck. We know little about this charming little painting, there is no information as to how old Childs was when it was painted; a label found on the back of the work identifies it as an oil sketch by Childs Frick.
