A Marion Post Wolcott photograph from 1939 features Joerina and her daughter stitching chair covers on the porch of their Roosevelt house; another shows Joerina with her cattle and hogs, new barns and fencing in the background. The only surviving quilt by Joerina is this remarkable variation on a "Log Cabin" from about 1940 in which the squares are divided between stitched strips and solid blocks of cloth cut in a sawtooth pattern.
