How the nettle fiber is carded

The dried nettle fiber is opened by hand and any remaining bits of outer layer of grass in removed. After the fiber is sorted and cleaned, it is either hand carded, or sent to carding plants for weaving process. An artisan here is carefully cleaning the fiber and hand carding it for weaving.
