Hunting trophy exhibited in the Trophy Room, piano nobile of the Castle of the Presidential Estate of Castelporziano

Quirinale Palace

Quirinale Palace
Rome, Italy

The hunting trophies, arranged on the walls of the room, are part of the Savoyard collections and are of different origins as evidenced by the different typology of animals, largely exemplary not referable to the naturalistic context of the Castelporziano Estate. Some of the trophies, and in particular the elephant head, could refer to the well-known hunting passion of Duke Amedeo d’Aosta (1898-1942).
