A vast uninhabited area, which is rocky and barren in nature, where two stepwells are only visible on the map. Generally, stepwells were developed mainly for the storage purpose especially in the arid regions like Deccan. It was easy for the people to get the access as well as manage the groundwater than with big well and tank.
