The eastern portion of the Nizam's King Kothi palace, where a large garden namely 'Eden gardens' is visible on the map. This portion Nizam used for the official and ceremonial purpose and even still today 'Eden Gardens' is known as the function hall. It was at the Eden garden the marriage of the last Nizam Mir Osman Ali Khan with Azam-un-Nisa Begum Sahib took place. The King Kothi palace was actually built by the noble Kamal Khan, who offered it to the Nizam Mir Mahbub Ali Khan. In return, the Nizam granted him a jagir which covered the cost of the palace. It was the last Nizam, who lived there more and when he made the palace as his permanent residence, the city of Hyderabad started spanning to the north of the river Musi. The Usman Mansion was the major Building. The eastern portion was used for the official and ceremonial purpose includes Eden Gardens, whereas the Mubarak Mansions in the west was used as private building. A thickly inhabited area is visible to the right of the Workshop Road which runs close to the 'Eden gardens' is visible. Besides the residences, S.P.G Church, S.P.G Boys School, and a graveyard belong to Muslims, which include Takya Gujarati Shah are also visible. Takya is the place where a Muslim monk or dervish resides.
