The channel which carries water into the Mir Jumla Tank is highlighted on the map. The Mir Jumla Tank, the oldest one, was constructed by the prime minister of Mohammed Quli Qutb Shah in the early 17th century, and after whom it was named as Mir Jumla Tank. The city completely relied on Mir Jumla Tank for pure filtered water. And, a Dhobi Ghat is visible on the shore of the canal.
