Ibn al-Haytham's Influence

Ibn al-Haytham’s work on vision and optics is included in his influential book the 'Book of Optics' which was translated, after he died (d.1039), into Latin, passing knowledge on to scientists leading the European Renaissance. Among those influenced by his work and methods were Italian inventor Leonardo da Vinci, German physicist Johannes Kepler and English scientist Roger Bacon.
