In 2001, painter Maja Lisa Engelhardt (born 1956) created seven monumental landscapes for the Social Democrats' group room that refer to the changing seasons and the history of Denmark from heathen antiquity to Christian culture. Maja Lisa Engelhardt predominantly uses earthen colours in her abstract-expressive paintings. As a declared Christian, her works unify visual memories of the Danish landscape with a Christian motif universe. This also applies to her many church decorations.
