Il passaggio del Minotauro (The passage of the Minotaur)

Gilardi used symbolism in order to convey messages in his Tappeto-Natura works. Il passaggio del Minotauro proposes a mythological figure, the Minotaur—half man and half bull. We can note its movement by a trace in the terrain and from its tail while it runs away. This figure corresponds to our psyche: half rational and half governed by emotions.
