Illustration of Derby Cathedral

The original parish church of All Saints in the town of Derby, in the county of Derbyshire, was demolished in 1723 after it was deemed structurally unsafe. The church was then redesigned by architect James Gibbs in a Neo-Classical design and was awarded Cathedral status in 1927.
