Im Fernsehen Gesehen (Seen on TV) is a work by the Swiss artist Miriam Cahn (Basel, Switzerland, 1949). Her early works focused on performance, gestural and expressive large- scale charcoal drawings and street interventions. Later, she made a transition to colour and changed the large-scape formats on the floor for oil paints. Cahn uses the body as inspiration, subject matter, and artistic tool. In her figures, bright colours highlight the genitals, breasts, lips, and eyes, creating a feeling of vulnerability, while the blurred shapes suggest the transience of existence.
