The TARARA ZIG ZAG was a very special piece of equipment and was the last to intervene to ensure complete cleaning of the grain. In fact, this same separated the light parts and the empty seeds by means of a calibrator, eliminating all the foreign bodies present in the grain, both those of higher and lower grading than the grain of wheat. Finally, it contained a magnetic separator to retain any metal bodies coming from the harvest or from previous cleaning machines. The same was equipped with a suction device that hoped the lightest impurities from the grain through a zigzag path under the control of a worker who eventually manually removed further impurities. Pastificio Cuomo's was a type 2 model.
