Imprint ii' acts as a tangible memory of plant matter from my garden, becoming a physical impression and connection to what I see from my back window. Due to current circumstances I have had to narrow my view of the natural world to my back garden, seeking to engage with the plants that occupy it with fresh eyes. Working directly with plant matter has allowed me to continue a connection with the natural world, something integral to my practice.
'Imprint ii' was produced during the 2020 period of quarantine, when many countries around the world went into lockdown to tackle the spread of Covid-19. It’s a personal response to crisis, uncertainty, and altered states of being.
