IN SEARCH OF GOLD WE LOST NATURE

In his wanderings across Goa, the artist came across a wild network of thorny screw pines which made it difficult to find his way out. The artist grew fascinated with this strange, mysterious plant, pandanus odorifer, commonly known as 'Ketaki' which thrives in the wilderness of coastal areas. He spent time extensively in the landscape with this plant species, photographing it, collecting folk and oral narratives around it and painting it.
