The laboratory module, considered the centerpiece of the International Space Station (ISS), has been named "Destiny" in honor of its prominent role in the world’s largest science and technology effort. It is planned for launch aboard Space Shuttle Endeavour on the sixth ISS construction flight, currently targeted for March 2000.
