In the Vehicle Assembly Building at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida, space shuttle Atlantis, secured to its mobile launcher platform, slowly rolls out of High Bay 1. First motion was at 6:38 a.m. EDT Oct. 14. The 3.4-mile trip, known as rollout, is expected to take about six hours.
