The ancestors of Indonesian people ( the Paleo - Mongoloid ) appeared during the Megalithic period already established a structured community. they were no longer nomadic and settled in a permanent dwelling, fishing and farming for their livelihood. they utilized clothing made from bark of trees and later with woven materials. The most important cultural innovations during the megalithic period were the people have produce tools and utensils (flakes,pebbles and bones), menhirs (stone obelisks),sarcophaguses, stone burials, pyramaridal worshiping structures and stone statues. These megalithic remains could be found scattered across the Indonesian archipelago, but the most important jincjjngs have been unearthed in Pasemah ( a mountainous regions between Palembang and Bengkulu) and in Besuki (on the island of Java).
