Description: This work is part of a series that the artist described as “Informal-Nuclear” because of his use of thick paste, layers of color, filtering, glassy stones and a concept of space that seems astral and alchemical. Dated by the artist to 1951, but presumably from at least a year later, the panel fits well into the Milanese art scene of those years, noted for the experiences of Burri and Fontana, as well as a strong desire for experimentation, which Bianchi considered one of the primary conditions for creating art. Currently not on display.
