This inro case is coated with lacquer on both the inside and outside. The outer lacquer coating is densely sprinkled with gold powder, on which horses in a spring field are depicted in a gold and silver maki-e design. The inner coating is executed using nashiji (pear skin pattern). The sliding bead on the cord is made of turquoise, and the netsuke attachment is carved out in a clematis pattern.
