Inside the Zisa Castle

The subject painted by Carlo Perna is one of the symbols of Palermo in Arab-Norman times. The painter depicts the hall with the fountain of the palace, which is pivotal for the building’s architecture, its mosaic panel on the background wall and the oblique-cross-shaped water drain in the floor.
