Rank Badge of Civil Official with Single Crane Design

This insignia is an artifact from the head family of the Iljik Son family clan of Song-ri, Iljik-myeon, Andong-gun. The design depicts a red crane inside a circle. The red crane design reflects the influence from the Qing dynasty. The crane has a seoncho (a legendary plant that is said to turn a person into sinseon, a godly being with miraculous powers). On the bottom, a wave pattern, orb, and rhinoceros’ horn can be seen.
