Mario Klingemann's 'Circuit Training' is a three-part installation that captures images of participants in order to create datasets then used to train neural networks. You are invited to judge the visuals produced by the system and, in doing so, teach it what you find interesting. The machine is constantly learning from this human interaction to create an evolving artwork, which it understands to be a composition of the most appealing images.

Mario Klingemann is a German artist and Google Arts and Culture resident known for his work involving neural networks, code, and algorithms. He is considered a pioneer in the use of computer learning in the arts.

The Barbican's AI: More than Human (16 May-26 Aug 2019) is an major exhibition exploring creative and scientific developments in artificial intelligence demonstrating its potential to revolutionise our lives.
