Interior of the church dedicated to Saint Hegwig of Silesia in Milanówek

The decision to reconstruct the main altar was made in 1968 to adapt the new canon of liturgy established on the Second Vatican Council. The murals were removed and new the presbytery was designed by Czesław Sosnowski. The cross with Christ figure in the middle was created based on a design prepared by Bulgarian artist Dimitri Petrov, who was living in Milanówek by the time. The stairs and the flooring were upgraded. The altar was remade in marble.
