International Conference on 'Light Writing' - The Photographic Image Reloaded

CPB 2019 played host to the International Conference on Photography titled ‘Light Writing’ - The Photographic Image Reloaded. Artists, curators and scholars from different parts of the world came together and presented papers on the state of photography in the current times. An array of prominent speakers viz., Ashwini Asokan (India), Diwas Raja KC (Nepal), Emeka Okereke (Nigeria), Kristoffer Gansing (Germany), M K Raghavendra (India), P Sainath (India), Rashmi Sawhney (India), Sabeena Gadihoke( India), Satyajit Mayor (India), Shela Sheikh (UK), T Shanaathanan (Sri Lanka), Y S Alone (India), Zhuang Wubin (Singapore), spoke at the conference.The conference was dedicated to the acclaimed Bangladeshi photographer, activist and mentor Shahidul Alam and his continuing resistance.
