This iron horse was discovered at Yongjangseong Fortress in Jindo. At a ritual site on a mountain peak overlooking the sea, evidence was found of ceremonies performed for sea deities, praying for safe passage across the treacherous waters. This iron horse appears to have been crafted as a sacrificial offering to be dedicated to the gods.
