This iron knife was among the funerary objects buried with Prince Zhuang. The knife head has an iron core wrapped in gold. Each gold decoration is engraved with dragon and cloud motifs and floral patterns.All that remains of the original wood scabbard wrapped in leather is a gold locket ornament that would have adorned its top. Such ornaments might also be used at the connection of hilt and blade.
