Andrew Schirner, Daryl Webber and Mick Pearson have another drink to celebrate surviving Queensland's Cyclone Yasi. They had partied all night as their Silkwood home collapsed around them.

Biography:
Maccoll's career began as a video cameraman and stills photographer at ABC TV. 10 years later he joined the Australian Information Service (DFAT) documenting Australian events, humanitarian aid projects, visiting dignitaries, world leaders and royal family. In 1998, he joined News Corp shooting mostly fashion and the Arts. Rob covered the East Timor conflict, documenting the plight of refugees. Years later a UN member told him his images had saved hundreds of lives; understanding the power of an image to change lives, he shifted focus to cover disasters and conflict including wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, the AIDS epidemic and violence in Papua New Guinea, bombings in Bali and Jakarta, the tsunamis in Phuket, Aceh and Ghizo, and floods, cyclones and bushfires closer to home. Rob's awards include a Walkley Award (2000), the United Nations Association Media Peace Award (2004), severak Queensland Media / Clarion Awards, QCPA awards and an OPSO award. He now works as a freelancer in Noosa, Queensland.
