According to tradition, this impressive lantern of Islamic style was donated to the monastery by Sultan Mohammed II the Conqueror, when he was visited by a delegation of Patmian monks at Hadrianopolis (Edirne) in 1454. It is of characteristic Islamic technique, bronze with perforated adornment and incised decoration.

- Περιγραφή: Σύμφωνα με την παράδοση, αυτή η εντυπωσιακή κανδήλα, χαρακτηριστικής ισλαμικής τεχνοτροπίας, δωρήθηκε στο Μοναστήρι από τον σουλτάνο Μωάμεθ Β΄ τον Πορθητή, όταν αντιπροσωπία μοναχών της Πάτμου τον επισκέφθηκε στην Αδριανούπολη το 1454. Είναι τυπικής ισλαμικής τεχνικής, μπρούτζινη με διάτρητη και εγχάρακτη διακόσμηση.
