Isle of Dogs Pumping Station, Stewart Street, Isle of Dogs, Tower Hamlets, Greater London

This storm water pumping station was built between 1986 and 1988. It was designed by John Outram Associates for the London Docklands Development Corporation and Thames Water. The building returns to the traditions of the impressive municipal pumping stations that were built in the 19th century.
