Expérience R603 ISR basé à l'intersection I6

Study of Λ⁰ polarization in proton-proton interactions at √s = 53 and 62 GeV. Images 256-260.12.73 show the front part of the spectrometer installed in I-6. On image 258.12.73, on the right is the ISR vacuum chamber entering between the four sets of proportional chamber modules (four planes each). The first two modules, above and below the beam line, are partially hidden by the trigger counters. Behind the chamber modules are the Cerenkov counters and the front end of the analysing magnets. The spectrometer was used to measure inclusive multiparticle production at the ISR.
