Ivan Klíma

Ivan Klíma (* 1931) was imprisoned for several years in a concentration camp, later became a member of the Communist Party, from which he was expelled. After returning from the USA in 1970 he became a forbidden author, he could only publish in samizdat and exile and worked as a laborer.
