Ivory Chess Piece

This ivory faras, recognisable by the single protrusion representing the horse’s head.

Of particular note here are the two drilled circles on the front of the head; they give the impression of a pair of startled eyes, which combined with its diminutive stature help to make it an immediately ‘likeable’ piece.
