Takhtposh (Bench)

The legs and frame of this takhtposh were made using metal while the seat was made by nailing planks of wood onto the frame. A number of such benches were arranged together to form a large platform along the shops on a street in Malerkotla town. These were used by men to sit, play cards and socialize.
