Palmer's, Camberwell London"; inscription inside frame reads "Royal Patent, Wax Vesta Match"; at center is small raised opening to hold single lit match, to left is image of lion, over opening is crown, to right is image of a horse; underside inscribed "Alexander S. Stocker, Patentee" in upper recessed area, striker in central recess, "Brass Battery Works, Wandsworth Surrey" inscribed in bottom recess.
