Cope and textile fragment of brocaded silk damask. Woven with arabesques in stripes. The design is carried out in yellow damask, white silk twill and brocaded silver thread. In the centre are decorative panels carried out entirely in silver thread and these are flanked by panels outlined in silver thread and containing formal decoration in white. The damask pattern consists of interlacing strapwork and small floral devices. The design has a point repeat 5 inches wide, 20.25 inches long, and repeated twice in the width of the fabric.

Brocaded yellow damask, striped in the warp with white silk. The damask is based on a satin of 5 and has a design in reverse satin on a satin ground. There are three brocaded wefts: white silk, silver filé used in pairs, and silver frisé.

The brocaded wefts are bound in 4/1 twill by a proportion of the ground warp threads. The selvedges are 5 mm wide with 6 cords in tabby.
