The 'Jab Jab', or 'Jab Molassie', is a form of Devil Mas. 'Jab' is French Patois for 'Devil', while 'Molassie' is French Patois for 'Mélasse' (Molasses), as revellers often smear themselves with tar, grease, lard or dyes. Pictured here are Jab Molassie on J'ouvert morning in Grenada.
